I’m probably going to sound like a complete hater but I want to be clear that’s not my intention. I still love G&G and everyone there but I have some criticism that I would imagine other locals supporters feel the same way.

Obviously Wrestlepalooza was tonight and, also obviously, there was no watch party. Beardo was streaming Fortnite during it so it’s not like it couldn’t have happened. Just to be clear, I’m not mad at Beardo for it, it’s the weekend and he should be able to do what he wants, unless Jeremy tells him he has to do it then he’s under no obligation to do the watch party. My biggest issue, in regards to this, is there was no heads up from anyone that it wasn’t happening. We got multiple people asking here if it is and the only way we find out is when the event starts and there’s no stream. I believe the original plan was X-Wing was gonna cover it but he had things come up and last we heard was they had to figure out what the plan was.

I know during the last football stream Jeremy had said they are probably going to stop doing wrestling streams except for maybe some PLE’s, but that wasn’t confirmed. For me personally I think stopping the wrestling streams is a terrible idea if you wanna keep having support over here. The movie watch parties I really enjoyed, there were some random sporting events that were pretty fun to watch too, but when the wrestling streams started becoming a thing I think that’s when I think the engagement and consistent viewership took off. Again, that’s just my personal thought and the numbers could say otherwise. The wrestling streams are so much more fun to watch with other locals members than to watch it any other way. I love the memes, the superchat jukebox, talking to everyone in the chat, and I think Beardo and X-Wing are great hosts. Doing sports streams are fun but, unless it’s a really good game, it’s just kind of background noise for me. That’s how it’s always been for me when watching sports though, and if it’s one of my favorite teams playing I kind of prefer to watch that on my own. If we just start doing PLE’s then it’s going to be weird if nobody has been keeping up with the stories leading up to it.

Finally, we have the gaming streams. Very fun stuff, I love being able to hop on Mario kart and play with the crew. The problem is that’s all it is, just Mario Kart once a week and maybe a random one on the weekend. Even then unless you wait around for the whole stream you’re only going to get 3 races in and hope you can get back in later since they rotate players. Which is a great idea, we don’t need people hogging spots for 3 hours and others can’t even get one race in. For me it’s just one of those things I have to consider if locals is worth it or not. Honestly, at this point I’d much rather watch them play Among Us than join in for a few races on Mario Kart, but I think that’s mostly cause the Among Us streams are freaking hilarious.

With all that being said, if there won’t be anymore wrestling streams and very few locals members gaming streams then I don’t see a reason to stay a Locals member. I’d still show support on YouTube, superchats, merch, etc. That’s just my thoughts though, would love to hear what others think as well. Anyway, rant over! Hail the 199!
